Anna Lisa Giordano was born in 1985. She starts studying Piano at the age of  five at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland in Lugano. In 2007 she obtains, at the “San Pietro a Majella” Conservatory of Naples (in the class of M ° Anna Alvino) the Graduate Diploma in Piano with the highest honors, and in 2014 obtained the “Master of Arts in Music Performance” at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland in Lugano (class of M° Nora Doallo).

In 1997  began her long and important teaching relationship with M° Annamaria Pennella, fundamental point of reference in the most important years of her musical training. She has participated as a student in Courses and Master Classes with Francesco Nicolosi, Emanuela Friscioni, Paul Badura – Skoda, Orazio Maione, Antonio Pompa – Baldi, Luigi Averna, Laura de Fusco, Konstantin and Svetlana Bogino, Vladimir Ogarkov, Laura Pietrocini, Leslie Howard, Alexei Kornienko, Pavel Jumpannen, Mats Widlund, Giovanni Bellucci and others.

At age 13 she received a scholarship as “Young Talent” bestowed by the Region of Calabria.

Since her participation in her first Piano Competition in the same year (the 8th Piano Competition “Riviera della Versilia”), where she got the first prize, she won the first prize in various national and international competitions, as a soloist (34th National Competition “Couple Pianists of Italy”, V International Piano Competition “Giuseppe Terracciano” X National Piano Competition “City of Rocchetta”) and in a duo with saxophonist Alfredo Cerrito, with whom in 2009 she founded the “Duo 8&15” (International Competition of Chamber Music of Bellagio, International Competition “Camillo Togni” of Brescia, International Competition “City of Rocchetta”, International Competition “Alice bel Colle,” International Competition “Schubert Prize”).

Anna Lisa has performed, both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, in prestigious concert halls and major seasons throughout Italy (including the Festival “Le dieci giornate” of Brescia, the “Music Monday” of Mantua, the Festival ” C. Rollero “Pizzo; she performed at the Auditorium Gaber in Milan, Palazzo Monsignani in Imola, Villa Torlonia in Rome, the Hall of Frescoes of the Humane Society of Milan and many other prestigious venues) and abroad (Switzerland, Slovenia, Germany, Iraq – where in October 2013 the “Duo 8:15” has performed at the National Theatre in Baghdad with a concert, which had a huge media impact, organized by the Italian Embassy in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Iraq – Greece , Austria, Portugal, Finland, Vietnam).

In the month of March 2010 she performed live on radio to Vatican Radio, playing the “Barcarolle” op. 60 F. Chopin. In the same year, in July, she was among the best students of the “International Piano Forum” in Chioggia (Italy), thus having the ability to perform Beethoven Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, Op. 37  with the “Orchestra Sinfonica di Chioggia” conducted by M° Pietro Perini.

Also very active in the field of contemporary music, in 2011 she performed in a duo with saxophonist Alfredo Cerrito the world premiere of “Toccata” for alto saxophone and piano by Maestro Fabio Conocchiella, dedicated to Duo “8&15” and in 2012 she participated in a research project called “A trilogy of intentions” at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland, during which she performed two originals compositions in world premiere.

She attended until 2011 the Chamber Music course at the International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola and currently follows courses and master classes held by M° Annamaria Pennella, M° Konstantin Bogino and M° Laura Pietrocini. She also attended, in duo with Alfredo Cerrito, the Chamber Music courses held by the Ars Trio of Rome and the Trio Tchaikowskij.

She currently lives in Minturno (Italy), and she is a professor of Piano and Chamber Music at the “A.M.Ba.L.” Academy in Formia (Italy).
